Privacy Policy

The short version

This website does not collect your email address, does not log IP addresses, does not set analytics or advertising cookies, and does not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting. The only information we ever store is what you voluntarily type into the feedback form: a first name and a message.

1. Who we are

This site (“the Site”) is the promotional website for Vehicle Log Ease (“the App”). For privacy questions, contact privacy@vehiclelogease.app. Where the GDPR applies, we act as the data controller for the limited information described below.

2. What we do not collect

• No email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses.
• No IP addresses. They are neither logged nor stored with submissions.
• No user agent, device fingerprint, or geolocation data.
• No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
• No accounts, profiles, or persistent identifiers for visitors to this Site.
• No sale or sharing of personal information, ever. We do not sell data.

3. What we do collect (feedback form only)

If you choose to submit a comment or feature request, we store exactly two fields you typed: a first name and your message, plus the time of submission. Submissions are anonymous by design and are not linked to you, your device, or your network.

Please do not include personal or sensitive details in the message body. Because submissions are anonymous, we have no reliable way to locate a specific person's entry after the fact.

4. Bot protection

To keep the feedback form free of spam we use two invisible checks (a hidden decoy field and a timing check) and, where configured, Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused CAPTCHA alternative that does not track users across sites and does not use behavioral advertising data. Turnstile may process technical signals from your browser to score whether the request is automated; that processing happens at Cloudflare and is subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy. We receive only a pass/fail result. The verification token is validated on our server and immediately discarded. It is never stored.

5. Cookies and local storage

The Site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics storage. Turnstile may set a short-lived, strictly functional token used only to complete the bot check. Because we use no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required.

6. The embedded app

This Site embeds the live Vehicle Log Ease web app inside a sandboxed frame. That app is a separate service with its own data handling and privacy terms, and anything you enter inside the embedded app is handled by that app, not by this Site. This Site sends the embedded app only non-personal interface messages (for example, a theme setting or a request to open a particular screen) and never forwards personal data to it.

7. Hosting and server logs

The Site is served by a hosting provider that may process connection metadata transiently to deliver pages and mitigate abuse, as any web server must. We do not retain, aggregate, analyze, or link such metadata to feedback submissions, and we maintain no access logs of our own.

8. Retention and deletion

Feedback entries are kept only as long as they are useful for product planning, and are reviewed and purged periodically. You may request deletion at any time by writing to privacy@vehiclelogease.app. Please quote the first name and approximate wording you used, since we hold nothing else that could identify the entry.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data (GDPR/UK GDPR), and rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Where we process a feedback submission, the legal basis is your consent, given when you press send; you may withdraw it via the deletion request above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. International transfers

Our hosting and database infrastructure may process data in countries other than yours. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
